Most protable RO systems equip GAC granule carbon as the first stage filter. This kind of system will harm RO filter in many ways. GAC filter only adsorb dissociated state substances, it doesnot offer any filter rating while functioning. RO membrane was designed to remove nanoscale particles, anything larger would severely reduce the cartridge life.
